Hello,my daughter had perfectly planned a beach wedding on 17th St in Shipbottom, where she grew up for summer vacations on May 2. Sadly the Covid 19 has forced her to postpone to Sept 5, 2020 but unable now to have her perfect beach wedding. I was wondering if there would be an available area at the lighthouse or beach area for her to hold a short wedding ceremony. If this would not be possible, could you recommend another option, maybe even on the bay somewhere in Manahawkin. Her venue is at the Holiday Inn. thank you so much for your time. Hello, I would perhaps contact the Long Beach Township Police department on their NON-emergency line or Harvey Cedars PD or their respective town halls and inquire of either the parks in Long Beach Township (which encompasses several towns) or Sunset Park in Harvey Cedars is available. You can also try and see if Barnegat Light has anything. That’s where I’d begin.
Is there a walkable beach at or near Barnegat Light?

Yes, it's a long walk to the beach. There's a large jetty you can walk out on, which is pretty cool, especially on a foggy day...but don't bring beach gear to Barnegat. Enjoy!

I just found the following answer to your question on the Long Beach Island Journal website: The lighthouse is open (weather permitting) every day from April 1 through October 31, 9 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. From April 1 through October 31 it is open from 9 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday.
