CHECK to make sure it is open with the Shutdown! Yes. The indoor Hot House has different level(s) and walking paths. Look and you will see some Dinosaurs hiding in and along the plants! Also a Children's outdoor interactive exploring Garden area. Assessed through the main entrance. Their is outside walking areas.
If this is your first visit to DC, I would rank it as low priority. There are so many more places that you should see. But if you are there in December, be sure and see it.
