If you are walking watch out for the bicycle they are fast. The trail is clean nice walkway. Parking is can be tough at times. Full review by matthewhU7716GL

No water is not clear, it’s a river, brown and musky, some algae. Swimming in certain areas is not permitted, kayaks, canoes is best. They may have areas downstream for tubing and swimming. We never tried that out there. We hiked mostly. The river is a bit smelly too, but lovely to look at and watch the fish, frogs, turtles and birds.

Start at Falls Lake Dam, rental is at The Bike Guy (Google his address and hours). Greenway starts pretty flat there. Suggestions- Bring water! Also wear bike appropriate clothes. Stay right and don't spread out allowing others to pass each direction on Greenway. American Tobacco Trail has excellent signage for walkers and bikers to keep everyone organized- Wake Greenway
