Are you sure you went on a Wednesday? I believe the Trinidad Head Lite is opened the first Saturday of the month, not Wednesday. The Trinidad Memorial Lighthouse is being relocated and is temporarily parked by Trinidad State Beach.

Is your rating fair? Your rating is silly as the Memorial Lighthouse is clearly in a temporary place, and the Memorial Site is not where you are describing it. Anyway, it’s too bad you had a 1 bubble experience, and perhaps you will get to see the relocated Memorial when it is complete one day. The Trinidad Head Lite is up the trail from the parking lot you described. It is oppened for tours the first Saturday of the month for now. Information on why the Memorial and Memorial Lighthouse have to be relocated from Edwards and Trinity Streets are at the Trinidad Civic Club Website.
