Yes, but the land around the cenota is not paved, including the parking area. Uneven hard packed dirt. Its very natural. See if you can find some photos that have been posted.

Taxi on the way back might be difficult. I suggest the public bus until you get to Playa del Carmen if going further north. Get off and then take a taxi from there. Be careful crossing the HWY to catch a north bound bus. The highway is very busy, no traffic light or pedestrian over path.
