It cost $10 for adults plus taxes and the ride is the same as you mentioned above and does not cost extra just have to ask for a boarding pass. Granted you don’t get to go far but it is a “ride” and a guide talks to you about the trains and projects on site.

Georgia State Railroad Admission is $10 for adults and $6 for kids ages 2-12. Admission is good for 3 days and includes all daily guided tours.
