Whether you walk through it or simply stand and stare, The Brandenburg Gate is a must see on any trip to Berlin. Not seeing the monument is like going to New York and not seeing the Statue Of Liberty… Full review by Braindamagedbaron

This is purely a photo op which is next door to the American Embassy. It's very popular and gets quite crowded but it's something you definitely visit if you are in Berlin. Full review by cheshire3131

I think is better to go in the morning... too many people waiting for these monuments. Of course for the Brandenburg gate you don't need to wait in a queue. Enjoy your holidays!!

As the others have said there's no need to take a tour. We walked from our hotel to soak up the atmosphere and history and used our guide books and maps . There are …

As the others have said there's no need to take a tour. We walked from our hotel to soak up the atmosphere and history and used our guide books and maps . There are numerous information boards around in different languages which were informative ,helpful and FREE! Go and enjoy!
