Greetings! My wife and I are planning a trip to the area and have no children. Are the center, and particularly the Friday Starry Night show, sufficiently adult-oriented to make this a worthwhile activity for folks in their late 40s?

Yes!! This planetarium just re-opened a couple of weeks ago after a complete renovation with a new dome and the latest Spitz 4K IQ Projection System - the first installation of this in the US. Two shows (7:00 and 8:30) each Friday evening, both shows include the night sky at the time. The shows are selling out regularly, so be sure to purchase your tickets online in advance. The 8:30 show is the more interesting, and adult oriented.
I want to know more about the planetarium -is it worth taking, 5, 10 and 14 year olds?
A:
Yes! It's a great show - they point out all the constellations. The second show is typically more "big kid". Then you can look through the big telescope.
