The drive from New Orleans might be about 2 hours and to Vicksburg is another 1 1/2-2 hours. Cotton will have been picked by then, sad to say. But you can buy cotton bowls easily.
No! There is a charge for admission and I think it is $13-$15 dollars per person. The money is used to help with the upkeep of the home. Well worth the price!

Many of the places on the Pilgrimage tours of homes (which happen twice a year, Spring and Fall) are only open during their assigned block of time (morning block or afternoon block), on their assigned days of the Pilgrimage. However, Rosalie is one of several that are open year-round, and so they don't limit it to a certain time block on a certain day. You can visit (with a ticket) any time during the normal business hours, most of the week, all year long.

Get tickets at the Natchez Vistor's Center, located at the south end of Canal street, just before reaching the by-pass road / bridge that goes across the Miss. River
