Police responded to Evergreen Park, a suburb south of downtown Chicago, and found the abused coyote dead. The teens are due in court next month.

The coyote was shot with a bow and then stomped to death, the Illinois Conservation police told ABC7, along with WGN-TV and Fox 32. Police said the animal’s body was removed from the scene and an investigation led to four teenagers being cited.

A member of the Chicago media community who was reported missing has died from apparent suicide, his family said.

Kevin Spencer, 34, who works in NBC Chicago's IT department, was last heard from Saturday, according to family and police.
