With the dominant performances, Boston College ranked at the top of the KANE Women’s Division I Media Poll and the IWLCA Division I Coaches Poll. Both rankings had the same top five after opening weekend for most schools. Northwestern is sitting at No. 2, followed by UNC at No. 3, Michigan at No. 4, and Florida caps off the top five.

The No. 1 Boston College women’s lacrosse team continued its hot start to the season on Sunday afternoon as it defeated Boston University 21-6 on the road. The Eagles (2-0) got on the board in the first 38 seconds of the game with a goal from Rachel Clark,

BC and BU will mark the first time the two schools have faced off in the championship game of the men’s Beanpot title since 2016.

Coming out of the weekend, BC was first in the Hockey East standings and BU third. That puts the rivals on a collision course for another clash in next month’s tournament final.
