Paleontologists unearthed the fossil in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert, and the find is unique because of a sheath preserved on one of the digits, which reveals the claw’s true length.

With two-fingered hands and long "nasty" claws, the Duonychus tsogtbaatari is certainly a strange sight. Fossils of this dinosaur were recently unearthed in Mongolia's Gobi Desert while a water pipeline was being constructed. Scientists say the Duonychus was a member of a group of "some of the weirdest dinosaurs ever".

Paleontologists unearthed a fully preserved claw fossil. The prehistoric remains were found in Mongolia’s Gobi Desert. A recreation revealed the dinosaur the clawed-hand belonged to had two fingers. Researchers suggest the unknown species looked like a mix between a sloth, giraffe and Edward Scissorhands.
