A Southwest Airlines plane preparing to take off from Dallas Love Field was struck by gunfire Friday night. Dallas police responded to a shooting call at about 9:50 p.m. at Love Field. A spokesperson for Southwest Airlines said Flight 2494,

There were no reported injuries on the plane, which was struck while preparing for takeoff, Southwest Airlines said. The plane safely taxied back to the terminal after the incident.

“Southwest Airlines Flight 2494 taxied safely back to the terminal at Dallas Love Field after a bullet apparently struck the right side of the aircraft just under the flight deck while the Crew was preparing for departure for Indianapolis,” airline officials said in a statement obtained by Star-Telegram media partner WFAA-TV.
