Max Verstappen is closing in on a fourth straight Drivers' Championship title with just three races left until the end of the season. The Dutchman will secure the honours if he finishes ahead of Lando Norris at the Las Vegas Grand Prix this coming weekend.

As F1 continues a brief break from racing ahead of the final triple-header of the year, former team boss Eddie Jordan took to the Formula For Success podcast with David Coulthard, to suggest the FIA delivered an unfair decision against Verstappen earlier in the weekend at Interlagos.

Former F1 team owner Eddie Jordan slammed the FIA after the delayed red flag cost Max Verstappen a place in Q3 in the 2024 Sao Paulo Grand Prix qualifying.

His frustrations with Herbert actually spanned back to the race in Singapore, after which the former Sky Sports F1 pundit criticised Verstappen for swearing during the Thursday press conference. The FIA punished him for this, but the Red Bull driver was furious thereafter and has stood his ground on the matter since.

The Dutchman drove a fan-designed livery that subtly mocked championship rival Norris and the FIA. Verstappen currently holds a 62-point lead over Norris in the championship standings with just three races to go, following a tumultuous month of on-track battles between the pair.
