US President Donald Trump, who insists he remains determined to end the bloodshed in Ukraine, has found himself confronted with the complex reality of even pausing this brutal war, exploited by Putin’s tough and seasoned negotiators.

In his comments to reporters, the Ukrainian leader said the new agreements on sea and energy attacks set out no course of action if Russia broke them and that he would appeal to Trump if that happened.
