India's factory activity started 2025 on a positive note, growing at the quickest pace in six months in January largely buoyed by resilient demand and strong output, a private survey showed on Monday,

The PMI, compiled by S&P Global, showed that Indian manufacturers began the year on a strong note after seeing moderation in growth in the previous month.

According to the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), due to steady demand and high output, India's manufacturing hub has shown positive movement after registering a 12-month low in the December last year.

The euro zone's beleaguered manufacturing industry showed some signs of stabilisation at the start of the year as firms brushed off rising costs and the threat of U.S. tariffs to become more upbeat about the outlook,

The HSBC India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index, compiled by S&P Global, came in at 57.7 in January, up from 56.4 in December and 56.5 in November. It was 57.5 in October and 56.5 in September.
