So far, no charges have been filed in the deadly H-E-B shooting in North Austin, but police are sharing more information on what led up to the shooting.

A security guard at an Austin H-E-B fatally shot a man, identified as Michael Rosario Jr., during a suspected shoplifting incident, leading to scrutiny over the rights of private security.

One man was taken to the hospital with gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries. No one else was injured. H-E-B sent a statement saying, "This incident involved a third-party security guard, not an HEB employee. HEB continues to work closely with local law enforcement on this matter. Any additional details will come from law enforcement."
