Former Oklahoma State softball ace Lexi Kilfoyl was selected as No. 1 overall pick in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League inaugural draft on Wednesday night.

The new Athletes Unlimited Softball League ( AUSL) had its inaugural player draft on Jan. 29. The league will feature four teams playing a 24-game season in a traditional format and will be in addition to the existing AU Pro Softball Championship Season, which launched in 2020 and is 30 games over five weeks in July and August.

Lexi Kilfoyl didn't become the clear ace of her college staff until her fifth year. The former Oklahoma State star made the most of it. As a college player last season, she was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association first-team All-American who led the Cowgirls to the Women’s College World Series.

Maya Brady, the niece of NFL legend Tom Brady who hit the second-most home runs in UCLA Bruins history, will join the Athletes Unlimited Softball League for its inaugural draft, she announced Tuesday on social media.

Shortstop Maya Brady agreed to join the Athletes Unlimited Softball League on Tuesday, adding a significant presence to the burgeoning league that will hold its inaugural draft Wednesday night, sources told ESPN.
