Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost with the return of centre back Micky van de Ven in training after the Dutchman recovered from a hamstring injury, the Premier League club said on Tuesday.

Last month, Van de Ven issued an injury update by captioning his Instagram post: “On the way.” Now, Tottenham insider Paul O’Keefe has revealed that Van de Ven is “on course to be included in Thursday’s squad” for his side’s contest against IF Elsborg in the Europa League.

Micky van de Ven has been filmed running in an intense Tottenham training session with the defender likely return from injury this week.

And so here’s a small one that could potentially turn into a big one in a few days: Micky van de Ven is back in Tottenham Hotspur full training! Rejoice! It’s fantastic news, but I can’t imagine we’ll see Micky play against Elfsborg in the Europa League on Thurdsay.
