Walton Goggins was bitten by a snake while filming 'The White Lotus,' causing the actor to go to the hospital and wonder: 'Am I dying a slow death?'

Walton Goggins has revealed he went to the hospital after being bit by a snake on set of The White Lotus. When the actor went on Jimmy Kimmel Live!…he shared that last week’s episode of the HBO show was actually more dangerous than it looked.

On Sunday night’s episode of “The White Lotus,” Walton Goggins’ character Rick throws open the doors to cages containing a slither of snakes, resulting in another character being hospitalized for a snakebite. In a serendipitous twist, however, Goggins was the one bit by one of those snakes in real life. Goggins spun the tale on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday. (Content advisory: The full interview discusses mature themes.) “As I was pulling the snake out, he didn’t want to come, right? So the snake turns around and he bit me,” Goggins explained. Goggins added that he wished he could’ve played it cool, but his reaction was anything but. “Oh my God I’ve been bit by a snake! Oh my God,” he screamed in a panicked voice.
