A little boy battling cancer is getting a big assist from Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards. It all happened Saturday as the Timberwolves took on Luca Wright's hometown team the Detroit Pistons. The special moment was made possible by Zachery Dereniowski,

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is bringing joy to fans with his play on the court, as well as his actions off of it. After meeting a young fan with cancer, Edwards exploded for one of his best games of the season while wearing one of his wristbands.

On Christmas, there were real glimpses of the dynamic Edwards that has been stifled much of the season. That is what the Wolves need most.

Anthony Edwards met Luca, a 6-year-old Minnesota Timberwolves fan with leukemia who attended the game wearing Edwards' jersey.

Right after Anthony Edwards dropped his career-high 53 points against the Pistons this weekend, he revealed he had an impactful meeting with a young fan.

I'll wear this on my left arm for the rest of my career, just for you," Edwards told him after the game, per ESPN. "Beat cancer, be the next MJ" What the you
