In June of last year, Colorado Governor Jared Polis approved the creation of a 'Chicana/o' special license plate, and as of January 1, it's an option for drivers hitting the state's DMV.

If passed, Colorado House Bill 24-1105, sponsored by Rep. Tim Hernandez and Sen. Julie Gonzales, would create a specialty Chicana/o license plate featuring art from a coalition of Colorado artists.
