City of Albany to open warming center starting Jan. 6
ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - The city of Albany will activate warming centers starting Monday, Jan. 6. According to the release, freezing temperatures are expected overnight starting on Monday until Tuesday, Jan. 14. The Albany Transit Center, located at 300 W. Oglethorpe Blvd., will be available each day from 6:30 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following day.
City of St. Louis opens more warming centers
The City of St. Louis opened additional warming centers Wednesday amid the continued Arctic blast. Just a few days after Sunday's snowfall, city leaders said there is still a demand for warm beds.
