Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy outdid the earlier Batman films in a lot of ways, setting a new standard for the Caped Crusader's films.

Batman is a hero in every sense of the word. There have been so many excellent interpretations of Batman since the character’s conception in 1939. What may be my favorite, though, is the version of the Dark Knight that Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski created for the once-burgeoning DC Animated Universe.

Batman: The Definitive History is a full-color doorstopper of a book that clocks in at 440 pages. It offers a deeply researched, definitive history of Bruce Wayne's alter ego from his 1939 debut in Detective Comics all the way to the present.
