LONG BEACH — Police sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in locating the driver responsible for striking an 80-year-old bicyclist in Long Beach, who later died at a hospital.

Long Beach police say they are looking for a driver who fatally sideswiped an 80-year-old bicyclist earlier this week. According to the Long Beach Police Department, the crash happened around 12:15 p.m. Monday on Atlantic Avenue near Pleasant Street, which is just north of Del Amo Boulevard.

LONG BEACH – Authorities have identified a bicyclist who died from his injuries after being hit by a driver on Jan. 20. On Jan. 20, 2025, at approximately 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of Atlantic Avenue and Pleasant Street regarding an injury traffic collision between a vehicle and a bicyclist.
