The post office is closed on Thursday, Jan. 9, and mail delivery is suspended. Here’s why
“The Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery, retail services and office activity on Jan. 9,” the postal service said in a statement posted to its website. “There will be limited package delivery service that day to ensure the organization does not experience any negative impacts to its package delivery operations.”
Post offices will not be open Thursday, Jan. 9 and although there will be limited package delivery, there won't be regular mail delivery.
