Eight new Mario Kart World tracks appear during the new Nintendo Direct livestream, including a few unlockable courses from past games.

The Mario Kart World Direct didn't have a great deal of entirely new information, but it did expand a lot on some things that we already knew, like the game's available game modes, what you can do in the new open world, and more.

This game also includes the Koopa wizard Kamek as a new item. Footage in the Direct showed all the racers turning into Chargin' Chuck, but also teased the idea of other potential effects. This is also, notably, the first time a character has been downgraded from playable to an item – sorry, Kamek fans.
