The prosecutor wrote a resignation letter to acting deputy attorney general Emil Bove in which he accuses the official of abandoning his legal ethics to do the bidding of President Donald Trump.

Another prosecutor in New York on the Eric Adams corruption case quit Friday in a scathing letter addressed to the Trump administration after the No. 2 acting Justice Department official earlier this week ordered charges against the mayor be dropped.

Danielle Sassoon, who resigned from her position as Manhattan’s top federal prosecutor, oversaw all investigations into federal crimes in the Southern District of New York, including the corruption case against New York City Mayor Eric Adams that the Trump administration has directed be dropped.
