It's a cold and blustery weekend in the New York City area, and that will continue as we track our next winter storm.

A winter storm sweeping across the country could bring snow and ice to New York City at the start of the week. Winter Storm Blair is expected to make its way east from the Rockies through the weekend, reaching the mid-Atlantic by Sunday night and bringing with it icy conditions that could impact the Monday commute.

The storm caused thousands of flights and dozens of train trips to be delayed or canceled. At Ronald Reagan National Airport in Washington, all runways were closed Monday evening.

Light snow is possible later in the morning and into the afternoon on Monday, mainly for New Jersey, New York City, and Long Island, the National Weather Service said.
