Brittney Griner exits Phoenix Mercury, agrees to join Atlanta Dream in WNBA free agency
Brittney Griner is leaving the Valley for Atlanta. After 11 seasons entirely played with the Phoenix Mercury, the 10-time All-Star center Griner has agreed to join the Atlanta Dream in free agency. ESPN's Shams Charania and Alex Phillipou were first to break the news.
When Brittney Griner retires, she will become a WNBA legend and arguably one of the best players in the Phoenix Mercury's history.
Free agent forward Brionna Jones is reportedly set to sign a contract with the Dream, ESPN’s Alexa Philippou reported Thursday.
