BJP president JP Nadda criticized Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge for allegedly exploiting the legacy of former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for political gain after his death. Nadda condemned the Congress party’s history of disrespect towards Singh and contrasted it with the BJP’s respectful actions.

While Nadda stopped short of revealing the site of the proposed memorial, The Indian Express has learnt that a space near Kisan Ghat, which marks the cremation site of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh, is among the locations being considered for Singh’s memorial.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal criticised the BJP-led government for allegedly disrespecting former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh by conducting his last rites at Nigambodh Ghat instead of a designated memorial site.
