Hassan Diarra had 19 points and eight assists, Aidan Mahaney and Tarris Reed Jr. helped spark a second-half comeback and No. 11 UConn overcame a 14-point deficit to beat Providence 87-84 on Sunday and extend its home winning streak to 28 games.

Paige Bueckers scored 19 of her 23 points in the first half as the seventh-ranked UConn Huskies bounced back from their first home loss of the season to roll past Providence 67-41.

UConn men’s basketball messed around for 25 minutes on Sunday and almost had to find out. Instead, the No. 11 Huskies battled back at home against the Providence Friars by scoring 60 points in the second half to escape with an 87-84 win.
