Golden State Warriors forward Jimmy Butler avoided a serious injury and was diagnosed with a deep glute muscle contusion, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Warriors star Jimmy Butler went down in the first quarter of Game 2 against the Rockets, landing hard on his backside on a rebound.

After his trade to the Warriors, Butler played in 30 regular season games. He averaged 17.9 points per game to go along with 5.9 assists, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.7 steals. In Game 1 of the series against the Rockets, Butler scored 25 points to go along with seven rebounds, six assists, and five steals.
