The jack was about to drop Chase Elliott’s car last weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, the signal for him to fire out of his pit stall. But Elliott saw the crew in the box ahead still working on the right side of that car.
Driving the No. 11 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, Hamlin ended a 19-race winless streak, per NBC Sports. This victory marks his first at Martinsville since March 29, 2015, and extends his lead as the active driver with the most wins at the track with six.
Chase Elliot and his team are expected to bounce back after a lackluster 2025 NASCAR Cup Series campaign so far.

He’s the Martinsville master, so second to him is not that bad. I felt really bad at the end of the run. Qualifying really good was a big part of our success this weekend. Hopefully we can come back better in the fall and have a nice solid day.
