Malonga joins the Storm, who went 25-15 last season. Seattle has a very experienced roster with nine-time All-Star Nneka Ogwumike, three-time WNBA champ Alysha Clark, who was first drafted in 2010, and six-time All-WNBA guard Skylar Diggins-Smith heading into her 11th season and second with the Storm.

The Storm selected 6-foot-6 forward Dominque Malonga with the No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA Draft. Malonga has been called the "female Victor Wembanyama" by former NBA All-Star Tony Parker.

The 19-year-old represents the evolution of women's basketball because she's a 6'6" big who can stretch the floor and score off the dribble. Hall of Fame guard Tony Parker compared her to San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama years before she was on the radar for WNBA teams.
