Several school districts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire have closed or delayed opening for Thursday, February 13 because of an overnight storm.

Because of the forecast for snow, sleet and freezing rain, dozens of school districts across Massachusetts and New Hampshire will delay the start of classes on Thursday. A few districts in the region announced closures for the day.

With snow expected to fall in parts of Massachusetts Wednesday night — delivering as much as 3 inches before turning into a wintry mix and rain Thursday — some schools have already delayed opening and some have even decided to close.
