McDonald's confirmed Tuesday it's bringing back its iconic Halloween Boo Buckets. They first debuted nearly 40 years ago, back in 1986, and starting Oct. 15, the buckets will be available with a Happy Meal at participating McDonald's restaurants across the country for a limited time.

The Boo Buckets were first offered at restaurants in 1986 as a limited time promotion, but "vanished for a while" before reappearing for the first time in several years in 2022. This will be the third consecutive year that the pails have returned for Halloween.

It's a monster mash at McDonald's, with the new limited-edition Happy Meal Boo Buckets making their return to the Golden Arches. On October 15, the iconic plastic buckets, which make for perfect trick-or-treating vessels, will return to participating McDonald's restaurants nationwide while supplies last.
