On the January 24th episode of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis announced that Damian Priest had joined the roster. The former World Heavyweight Champion then defeated Carmelo Hayes. Later in the show, Priest bumped into Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, who welcomed him to the blue brand.

On Friday's "WWE SmackDown," the transfer window served the blue brand well, as Nick Aldis acquired two former world Champions in Damian Priest and The Miz.
