The Rockies announced 23 players received a non-roster invite to 2025 spring training, a mix of up-and-coming prospects as well as players who have seen major league service time with other clubs. Some of the non-roster invites are bound to compete for an opening-day roster spot, and could have a noticeable impact on Colorado’s chances this summer.

Most critics and sportsbooks are again projecting the Rockies to be as bad as they were in 2023 (club-record 103 losses) and 2024 (101 losses). Competing for a spot in the playoffs, which Colorado last made in 2018, is still considered a longshot.
