Sunday's NFC championship vs. the Philadelphia Eagles was certainly emotional for every Washington Commander, but it was probably more so for tight end Zach Ertz, who was facing off against his former team of nine seasons.
The veteran tight end returns to Philadelphia this weekend to face the Eagles in the NFC title game as a valuable member of the Washington Commanders' high-scoring offense. Either Ertz or the team he spent his first 8 1/2 NFL seasons with is going to the Super Bowl.

The Washington Commanders' impressive 2024 season came to an end on Sunday. The Commanders were facing off against the division-rival Eagles for a spot in the Super Bowl but ultimately fell by a score of 55-23.
Tight end Zach Ertz has been at this stage before, so he knows better than most Washington Commanders what it takes to win the game on the biggest stage.
At 34, Ertz is enjoying a career rebirth with Washington. For rookie star Jayden Daniels, he has become "a quarterback's best friend."
