At noon, the National Weather Service issued wind advisories through 4 a.m. Tuesday in Portland and cities as far south as Eugene. High wind warnings are in effect along most of the Oregon coast, where gusts could reach up to 55 mph in Astoria and 58 mph in Lincoln City.
The NWS in Portland has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for parts of northwestern Oregon and southwestern Washington.
