Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley opened up the NFC championship game on Sunday afternoon with a monster, 60-yard touchdown run. The scamper— on Philly's first play from scrimmage —put them up 7-3 and opened the floodgates toward their eventual 55-23 win over the Washington Commanders.

The NFL game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders is getting closer and closer and Jalen Hurts' status is trending after Joe Whitt Jr.'s comments, Nick Sirianni and Jordan Mailata responded in a forceful manner.

The Eagles' tush push has been a nearly unstoppable play. The Commanders deployed a unique tactic to try to stop it in the NFC title game.

That honor has obviously belonged to running back Saquon Barkley, who threatened the NFL record for most rushing yards in a season. Accordingly, Hurts threw just 18 touchdown passes this season—and his 193.5 passing yards per game were his fewest since his rookie year in 2020.

Man mountain Jordan Mailata is set to become the first Australian to play in two Super Bowls with his Philadelphia Eagles through to the NFL showcase game. Mailata’s stunning career continued in the Eagles’ 55-23 home victory against the Washington Commanders in the NFC conference championship fixture on Sunday night (Monday AEDT).

The Eagles famously hosted the Detroit Lions in 2013 in a game dubbed the “Snow Bowl,” with whiteout conditions throughout regulation. LeSean McCoy ran 217 yards and two touchdowns in a 34-20 victory.

The Eagles will be taking on a Los Angeles defense that tied an NFL playoff record with nine sacks Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
