Certainly coach Todd McLellan did not have much positive to say after ... Rewatching it will show the same thing: Andrei Vasilevskiy, a world-class goaltender, made 39 saves, so it wasn't like all the Wings did was play defense. The problem?
The Red Wings are 8-4-0 since McLellan took over. The power play, despite going 1 for 9 over the weekend, has been potent, converting at nearly 42 percent during this stretch (18 for 43). The penalty killing continues to struggle (16 for 25, 64 percent).

Lightning’s second-period barrage too much for Red Wings
So much has gone right for the Detroit Red Wings since Todd McLellan took over as coach. On Saturday, however, little went their way. The Tampa Bay Lightning scored three goals in a span of 3:42 less than four minutes into the second period to break the game open and went on to defeat the Red Wings 5-1 at Amalie Arena.

That concern is beginning to dissipate. Over the last nine games, Kasper has five goals (along with three assists), and playing on a line with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond, the scoring chances are increasing, you can see the offensive attributes Kasper has, and there's simply more confidence in his game.

The Red Wings (23-21-5, 51 points) have won back-to-back games, both with Talbot in net. Talbot is 7-1-0 in his past eight starts. The one loss was a 5-1 setback at Tampa Bay Jan. 18 when he was pulled after two periods.
