Jan. 28, the Nisswa Fire Department and their Explorers attended a medical refresher training class at the Nisswa Fire Hall.

February is American Heart Month, and the Springfield Fire Department wants you to celebrate by learning how to save lives.

They say this training helps them in many different scenarios so they can always be prepared for you, no matter what.

The goal is to have a place for all area firefighters to train on vital skills, including live fire scenarios. The training facility will be built at the Tannery property on Church Street.
