HTML doesn't offer as clean a solution for vertical lines as it does for horizontal lines -- a vertical equivalent to the Set your image up within your text and add a "style" attribute tag.

You may want to add a horizontal line to a piece of text to make it easier for a user to differentiate between different parts. Just make sure you don't 'overdo' it, i.e. add too many horizontal lines ...
