Protesters in Turkey have taken to the streets against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after the arrest of his rival and Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu. The emergence of Pokemon character Pikachu at a protest site has made videos of the stir go viral.

The violent protests in Turkey which have pushed the country into chaos took a humourous turn when a man dressed in Pikachu costume was spotted running with a crowd. Visuals from the streets of Antalya shows a bright yellow inflated Pokémon running away from the Police when they began using force to disperse the protestors.
