Robert F. Kennedy, President Donald Trump's nominee for health and human services secretary, survives two heated confirmation hearings but still faces crucial Senate votes.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed former Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-N.Y.) to take the helm of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). He was confirmed in a 56-42 vote. Democrats Mark Kelly (Ariz.),

I strongly believe we have a moral responsibility to be good stewards of our environment for generations to come,’ Zeldin said.

Zeldin, 44, is from New York. He served eight years in Congress and lost a race for governor in 2022. He is expected to push deregulation.
