Patrick Nelson has worked on the SS Badger for more than 20 years. He now steers the ship, while his wife Nicole works as a co-supervisor in Manitowoc.

On their own boat, the couple visited major destinations in the U.S. and Canada during a journey that started in April 2024 and ended in March 2025.
