MICHIGAN, USA — Washed and ready-to-eat broccoli florets sold in select Walmart stores in Michigan have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination. A California company, Braga Fresh, voluntarily issued a precautionary advisory for a single production lot of washed and ready-to-eat 12oz Marketside Broccoli Florets.

Wal-mart has issued a recall of the 12-ounce bags in 20 states after testing uncovered listeria bacteria in one sample.

Produce supplier Braga Fresh has issued a ‘precautionary advisory’ about the product, which is no longer in stores but might still be in people’s freezers. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is alerting the public via its recall website about a voluntary advisory issued by Braga Fresh for a batch of Marketside Broccoli Florets sold at Walmart stores across 20 states.
