A 10-year-old boy with ties to Connecticut has reportedly died from injuries investigators say he sustained from being abused. He was living in Florida with his biological mother and her boyfriend, who are facing charges in connection to his death.

A 10-year-old boy from Tavares is dead after allegedly suffering “unimaginable abuse” and neglect from his mother and her boyfriend, Tavares Police said.

A 10-year-old boy who died after police said he suffered extreme abuse has been identified. The Tavares Police Department identified the boy as Xavier Williams. Xavier and his brother were both abused by their mother and her boyfriend, who has since been arrested, according to police.
